philosophy

a student's most powerful tool they can utilize solving any problem is their self-confidence. i believe that without faith in one's foundation and abilities, and that without the willingness to make mistakes, true learning and growth cannot exist. more times than not, i see students who know the material yet somehow believe themselves to be unknowing.

any tutor can guide your student through the material and provide reassurance. does this conventional method of tutoring work for all students? does this conventional method improve long-term retention, a requirement for learning new skills?

my sessions incorporate confidence building modules that create a safe space that encourage your child to be free to make mistakes... and learn. this philosophy is particularly successful in my test prep sessions.
